Andy Clark, managing director at HSBC Global Asset Management (UK)
Which individual has most influenced your career?
Robin Minter-Kemp at Henderson and HSBC (the first time round), Robin Threadgold at Fidelity, Mike Warren at DWS and Farley Thomas (HSBC Global Asset Management) all have and in some cases remain key influencers and wise sages.
Favourite tipple or wine?
I love red wine. If it's red and South African, I'm pretty much happy. If it comes from the Warwick Estate then I am delighted, as I have had the privilege of visiting.
Best/worst piece of advice ever been given?
Best piece: get the people stuff right and build from there. Worst piece: give up on trying for children. Two gorgeous twin daughters later...
The one luxury object you couldn't live without?
The internet. I do everything on it. No internet and I start wobbling.
Where do you buy your suits or have them made?
Crombie. I buy off the peg and they tweak them. Although, as I approach 40, maybe it's the time to become more grown-up.
What's on high rotation on your iPod?
US rock band Train. You may have heard of their big hit "Drops of Jupiter" in 2001.....ah, I see you haven't. Five for Fighting and Matchbox 20.
What's the book currently on your bedside table?
I'm addicted to my Sony eBook reader, I never thought I would move from paper but it's very good indeed. Any trip and you have access to hundreds of books. I am reading a William Lashner at the moment. Perfect commuting literature.
The last time you went to a concert/show/exhibition?
Last week, Rob Bryne - by far my favourite comedian, true genius.
