Diary: Protest fever hits the City
It's nice to see the people at the Competitive Enterprise Institute really are competitive - organising a demonstration on the same day as last week's G20 protests.
The Institute hoped to extol the benefits of capitalism to thousands of the great unwashed as anarchists, climate-change activists and anti-war protesters converged on the City.
Analyst Michelle Minton said: "The message is that capitalism is not to blame for the current economic crisis and is, in fact, the only way out of it."
The institute sent its own contingent to the gathering at Bank, dressed in suits, with posters asking: "Who is John Galt?"
