Ronan Kearney and Toby Denne, co-founders at Allium Capital, are "already in advanced stages of negotiations" with a number of "leading financial services companies".

Mr Kearney said: "Allium's activities are not just limited to supporting companies known in the financial services space. The next generation of fund management companies could easily be launched by familiar household names, from car manufacturers to football clubs."

Allium is already partnering with and assisting Openwork, Foster Denovo, IFDS Managers, JPMorgan, Clarkson Hill Group, Simply Biz, Praemium, Memery Crystal and Dexion Capital.
