Aegon AM to launch UK Equity Income fund

Aegon Asset Management UK is launching a UK Equity Income fund that will aim to provide 110 per cent of the FTSE All-Share index.

The fund will be managed jointly by Douglas Scott and Iain Wells, who currently run the Aegon Scottish Equitable Distribution Life fund, which is first quartile over one, three and five years.

It will target income of 110 per cent of the index as at July 31 each year, and invest in at least 80 per cent UK equities but have the flexibility to make "tactical investment" in bonds and overseas equities.

The fund will be launched on June 30.
