SIG looks to Templeton Global Bond

Skandia Investment Group has replaced Fidelity Institutional International Bond fund, instead investing £3m in Michael Hasenstab's Templeton Global Bond fund as part of its Global Fixed Interest Blend portfolio.

Ryan Hughes, senior fund manager at SIG, said Fidelity prefers bottom-up company research, while Templeton takes a top-down, macro approach. He added the move would allow for greater diversity of the alpha stream in its portfolio.
