Torquil Clark's Gee heads to T Bailey

Funds of funds specialist T Bailey has recruited Philippa Gee to head up its marketing and communications team. Ms Gee was previously investments director of Torquil Clark. She holds qualifications in personal and corporate financial planning, taxation and trusts and mortgage advice, and has long been regarded as one of the country's most respected investment experts. Ms Gee said: "I am a firm believer that for a large number of investors funds of funds offer the most cost-effective way of accessing the benefits of fund selection, diversification, asset allocation and active management." Ms Gee has worked on a number of product launches, chaired Torquil Clark's investment committee and has served as a consultant to the Treasury.
Pensions
Pensions Trust has appointed Lynda Howe as the new chair of its board of directors and Keith Nunn as the new deputy chair. Ms Howe replaces John Alleston who retired as chair after five years in the post and Mr Nunn replaces Clive Unitt who also retired this year. In addition, three new directors have been elected to the board. Frances Richardson and Robert Vandersluis join as employer nominated directors and Mary Doddridge joins as a member nominated director. As part of a recent governance review, the board reduced the number of elected directors from the current 16 to 10. Ms Howe is a certified accountant and retired from full time employment in June 2007 as finance and IT director of York Housing Association where she had been employed for 14 years. Mr Nunn retired from BP in January 2006 having worked as a geophysicist in the exploration and production division for 25 years.
Rowanmoor Pensions, the small self-administered scheme practitioner, has appointed Ian Linden as senior sales consultant to its national sales team. Mr Linden will provide consultancy and support services to Rowanmoor Pensions' professional adviser partners in Scotland and will report to John Cummings, sales manager. He will be based in Scotland and his core remit will encompass new business development for Rowanmoor Pensions' Ssas and family pension trust schemes. He joins Rowanmoor Pensions from Alliance Trust where he was a business development manager responsible for adviser relationships across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Prior to this he worked for financial advisory firm Fitzallan Limited and has more than 20 years of consultancy experience.
The IPS Partnership, the self-invested personal pension and Ssas provider, with offices in Bristol, London and Manchester has hired Dale Wadsworth as Ssas administration account manager. Mr Wadsworth joins from Barnett Waddingham and will be based in Manchester and report to Jane Davies, business development manager.
