The IFA-owned and controlled wrap proposition has revealed Mr Maginnis will join the firm to work under chief operations officer Andrew Smith in overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the Nucleus platform.

Mr Maginnis has joined Nucleus from Alliance Trust Savings where he was director of operations during his interim management role, and prior to that he was asset management operations director at Turcan Connell.

Elsewhere, other new appointments to the investment operations team include Charlie Lavery and Greg Klar, who will work with Mr Maginnis to ensure a consistently high level of service for stakeholders at a time of continued expansion for Nucleus.

Meanwhile, the firm has also appointed Janet Akbas as risk and compliance manager.

Andrew Smith, chief operations officer of Nucleus, said: "Kevin, Charlie, Greg and Janet will be fantastic additions to our team and the appointments reflect Nucleus' commitment to providing the highest quality operational service."

Mr Maginnis said: "I am excited to have the opportunity to play my part in providing a first class service for all our clients in a company which is challenging the status quo."
