Low Carbon Accelerator ups stake in Proven Energy

Low Carbon Accelerator has increased its stake in Proven Energy after investing a further £800,000 into the wind-turbine manufacturer.

The closed-end low-carbon investment fund has now invested £6.65m in the company. Andrew McMullan, chief executive at Proven Energy, said: "This extra injection of capital will allow us to ensure output meets demand and continue our successful trajectory into 2009 and beyond." Andrew Affleck - executive chairman at Low Carbon Investors, the investment manager for Low Carbon Accelerator - said demand for wind turbines remained strong.
