Threadneedle's head of UK retail sales Gary Collind talks to Nick Rice about an extremely important year for the company

Now Mr Collins has a bumper performance year to show off to clients, a few gaps in the range may make little difference. While many of his competitors in retail fund sales are debating whether launching Sicavs and selling them into the UK might make more sense from an international sales perspective, Mr Collins is convinced he can successfully launch Oeics into the UK and then register and sell them in other jurisdictions. But given the market uncertainty this year, he will be hoping his investment colleagues will adorn his communications to clients with digits of last year's sizes and numbers.
