SEI hires Mai Capital founder to head up UK and European equities
SEI has appointed Jason Collins as head of UK and European equities.
Mr Collins, who will be based in SEI's London office, will report to Kevin Barr, head of SEI's Investment Management Unit.
He will lead the UK and European Equity team with responsibility for research, portfolio construction and manager selection of all SEI's UK and European Manager-of-Managers funds.
In addition to his equity responsibilities, he will also assume management responsibilities within the London office of SEI.
Mr Collins was co-founder of Maia Capital, a London-based multi-manager investment boutique, where he was jointly responsible for all aspects of portfolio management including manager research, fund selection, asset allocation and portfolio construction.
Prior to founding Maia Capital, he was a portfolio manager at Fidelity International where he was responsible for a range of multi-manager funds and played a key role in the development of the investment process.
Before joining Fidelity, he spent more than nine years at Skandia latterly as head of investment research where he was responsible for the manager research, selection and monitoring process and was a key member of the group investment committee.
