Equitable Life names Earls as executive director

Mr Earls, chief operating officer, has worked for Equitable Life since 2002 as head of operations and programmes.

During his time at Equitable Life, he has led and completed the rectification and managed pension reviews.

He was responsible for managing the programmes that led to the transfer of the non-profit annuities to Canada Life and the transfer of with profits annuities to Prudential.

He is playing the leading role in securing the new administration arrangements.

Prior to joining Equitable Life, Mr Earls was a programme director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and prior to that spent 20 years at Marks & Spencer.
