Skandia Investment Group has announced plans to bring five US funds onshore to the UK.

The five funds are operated by Skandia Global Funds and have previously been available only through Skandia’s European, Far East and Latin American businesses.

The funds consist of Skandia US All Cap Value, managed by Mario Gabelli for Gamco Investors; Skandia US Capital Growth, managed by Tom Marsico for Marsico Capital Management; Skandia US Large Cap Value, managed by Bill Priest and David Pearl of Epoch Investment Partners; Skandia US Value, managed by Sheldon Lieberman for Hotchkis and Wiley Capital Management; and Skandia US Large Cap Growth, managed by Andrew Schilling for Wellington Management Company.

The funds are awaiting FSA approval and will be available initially for direct investment and through Royal Skandia’s offshore bond for investors in the UK and overseas.

Skandia said it would evaluate the demand from advisers before deciding whether to add them to its Selestia Investment Solutions platform and its life and pensions fund range.
