BlackRock names Jeremy Roberts as head of UK retail sales
Fund management giant BlackRock has named Jeremy Roberts as its head of UK retail sales, Investment Adviser can reveal.
Previous UK retail sales head Mark Elliott has been switched onto a new role as head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) retail strategic client accounts.
Mr Roberts, who first joined BlackRock’s UK retail business in 2001, was previously head of London and Channel Islands sales at BlackRock, where he oversaw a team of three salespeople.
He will report to BlackRock’s head of UK retail Tony Stenning in the new role.
“Jeremy has been instrumental in the growth, development and success of the UK retail business over the past decade,” said Mr Stenning. “The experience that Jeremy brings with him to the role will be critical in helping us to continue to provide a first-class experience, both in service and investment solutions, on behalf of our clients.”
Mr Elliott will report to BlackRock’s head of retail sales for EMEA Alex Hoctor-Duncan in his new role.
“Mark has enormous experience and a successful track record of navigating large client relationships,” said Mr Hoctor-Duncan. “Focusing on strategic clients in his new capacity Mark will work closely with the regional coverage teams, the platinum client coverage team and the EMEA retail leadership team.”
