Annuity specialist Living Time has relaunched under the new name of Primetime Retirement ahead of its official rebrand today.

The company has also confirmed that its new retirement income product, the launch of which was revealed by Money Management earlier this week, will be called the Retirement Income Plan and has gone live with a new website detailing the company structure.

Headed by Kim Lerche-Thomsen, who pioneered the fixed term annuity product, Primetime Retirement’s management team also consists of Lyn Casling as finance director and Stuart Wilson as marketing director.

It was also revealed last week that Dave Harris, former managing director at Living Time, will take a non-executive position on the board.

The company said that while it has rebranded, “Primetime Retirement retains all of the core values of Living Time, including its goal of bringing greater innovation, choice and flexibility to retirees”.

The company also said that it’s new product, the Retirement Income Plan, will be launched in Q1 of 2012.

As previously revealed by Money Management, Lerche-Thomsen said that the new product would be something different and “move the whole market forward”. He also distanced himself from another fixed term annuity product, saying that there were already big names in that market.
