The Gam Star Barclays Dynamic Multi-Index Allocation fund invests in a range of Barclays quantitative index funds.

Domiciled in Dublin, the Ucits IV-compliant fund has a minimum investment level of $10,000 (£6,300) and an annual management charge of 1.2 per cent.

Barclays’ quantitative indices are based on mathematical analyses, rebased regularly according to underlying algorithms. The strategy is usually employed by hedge funds, but Gam said it was aiming to open this up to the wider market through daily dealing and a lower charge. The new fund will actively allocate to the indices according to changing market situations.
