The IFA firm has recruited 18-year-old Jack Bishop who is studying on an NVQ in business and administration apprenticeship scheme at Guildford College. He will learn business processes and administration, as well as client engagement and marketing.

Keith Churchouse, director of Chapters said: “Mr Bishop is very keen, eager to learn and extremely IT-literate. It feels natural to bring someone into business and engage their interest at the start of early working life. Younger people can give the financial services industry a fresh perspective.”

Tim Scott, director of services to business for Guildford College, said: “Local firms that take on an apprentice understand that a skilled workforce can help them weather tough market conditions and emerge stronger.”
