GAM launches Emerging Equity fund
Swiss asset manager GAM has launched an emerging markets equity fund for managers Tim Love and Joaquim Nogueira.
The GAM Star Emerging Equity fund is domiciled in Ireland and has a minimum investment of $10,000 (£6,300). The fund’s annual management charge is 1.5 per cent.
GAM said the fund “aims to profit from the inherent growth potential” and mispricings in emerging markets.
The company said in a statement: “The timing for investing in emerging markets equities is ideal due to the deep discounts that many companies are currently trading at versus their historical highs and versus their developed market counterparts.”
The Ucits-compliant fund will hold 100–150 stocks.
