Jupiter brings Geldard and Manzi strategy onshore

Fund manager launches UK version of managers’ multi-asset, total return strategy.

By John Kenchington | Published Apr 25, 2012 | comments

Jupiter has launched a UK-based version of its multi-asset strategy run by Miles Geldard and Lee Manzi.

The Jupiter Stategic Reserve fund is targeted mainly at institutional clients but also carries a retail share class with a £500 minimum investment.

It is an onshore unit trust version of the managers’ existing Luxembourg-based JGF Strategic Total Return Sicav fund that launched in October 2010.

The global, multi-asset strategy has a total return objective focused on capital growth and low volatility. It invests directly in liquid tradable securities including equities, corporate and convertible bonds, government bonds and currencies.

The managers aim to reduce the impact of any market downturn on investors’ assets, and avoid structured products and third-party funds.

Mr Geldard and Mr Manzi joined Jupiter in 2010 from RWC and they also launched a Luxembourg-based Jupiter JGF Global Convertibles fund in October 2010.
