Swip appoints investment director to global team

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) has appointed ex-BlackRock director Kenneth Anderson as investment director.

Mr Anderson will report to Ken Adams, head of global strategy at Swip, and work closely with the existing global strategy team as the firm moves to restructure its business with a global focus.

Mr Anderson was previously co-head of Europe, Australia and Far East (EAFE) equities and investment director of European equities at BlackRock International.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr Anderson was a lead portfolio manager on Asia ex Japan funds at Swip. He finished his previous stint at Swip as an investment director of European equities with responsibility for company research and strategic advice.

Ken Adams, head of global strategy at Swip, said: “Swip’s global strategy team plays a key role in determining Swip’s house view on asset classes with the aim of adding value across client portfolios through tactical asset allocation decisions.

“Kenneth is an experienced fund manager with a strong analytical background and has a wealth of practical experience in bridging the link between the macro-economy and markets.”
