Nucleus events focus on understanding risk
Advisers will be able to meet and learn from their peers next month at six open days held by Nucleus, its business development director has said.
Barry Neilson said the events, dubbed Independent Day, at locations across the UK starting on Wednesday 4 July, will focus on a central theme of understanding and managing business risk.
He added: “For too many years IFAs have been preached to and lectured at by product providers who don’t really understand what they do or how they do it.
“We have always felt that the best people for advisers to learn and take advice from are other successful advisers who have been there and done it. This is what Independent Day is all about and with the help of some of the most respected firms in the country we are giving IFAs the opportunity to take advantage of their extensive knowledge and insight.”
The open days will take place at firms based at Fareham, Wilmslow, Swansea, London, Edinburgh and Norwich.

The open days follows the announcement that discretionary fund manager Saltus has launched five multi-asset portfolios on the Novia and Nucleus platforms to offer daily dealing and a lower total expense ratio.
Simon Armstrong, co-founder of Saltus, said: “With the continuing trend of outsourcing, it is important to be able to offer advisers the investment solutions they want and in a way that suits them.
“Our new platform portfolios are an entry-level option for advisers looking to outsource cost effectively through wraps.”
