Skandia is company of the year at FTAdviser awards

Skandia picked up the top prize at FTAdviser’s awards after receiving five-star ratings for their online service for the last four years in the investments, life and pensions categories.

Standard Life won FTAdviser’s Online Service Awards prize for outstanding achievement while Zurich scooped a trophy for their consistent online service service excellence.

In the best mortgage lenders and packagers category, Coventry Intermediaries, Godiva, Nationwide, Halifax, The Mortgage Works and BM Solutions picked up five star ratings for their outstanding online service to advisers in the last 12 months.

Principality Building Society scooped the overall five-star award for best mortgage lender and packager as well as the most improved lender in the last year.

Virgin Money was named most improved investment provider of 2012, while Novia Financial, Royal London Asset Management, Seven Investment Management, Standard Life, Octopus, Sterling Assurance, Williams de Broe, Skandia and Nucleus were rated as five star online service providers.

Transact was deemed by advisers to be the best overall online service provider for investments.

LV, Partnership, Just Retirement, Standard Life, Suffolk Life, Zurich Assurance and Scottish Life were voted five star life and pension online service providers.

Suffolk Life also was named most improved life and pension online service provider and Skandia was named overall winner of the category.
