The board of Positive Solutions has appointed Richard Pearson to the role of chief operating officer, subject to approval from the Financial Services Authority.

A former IFA, Mr Pearson has spent his career in financial services and has over 21 years of experience in the financial advice sector. He has held a number of senior management positions, including chief executive officer with Honister Capital.

Peter Coleman, chief executive officer of Positive Solutions, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Richard to Positive Solutions. His skills and experience in running a large IFA business and the insights he brings from having practised as an IFA for more than a decade are a welcome addition to our board and management team.”

Mr Pearson added: “Positive Solutions is a great business that is prepared for RDR and, having started the return to profitability, is poised to benefit from the opportunities that lie ahead.

“I am delighted to join Peter and the board in leading Positive Solutions and ensuring that we continue to strive for quality in everything we do.”
