Canada Life enhances protection service
Canada Life has launched an additional service with medical information provider Best Doctors as part of its group protection products, according to Paul Avis.
The sales and marketing director said the new service, Ask the Expert, will be available to Canada Life customers who hold group income protection and group critical illness policies
It will provide them with access to the opinions, advice and treatment decision support of more than 50,000 world-leading medical specialists.
The findings from the specialists’ report are shared with the member within five days of an initial call, offering a more simplified process and a quicker response time.
Mr Avis said: “The service empowers employees and their families with the best medical information, helping them to make appropriate healthcare decisions at a time when they are most important.
“This is an opportunity for intermediaries to highlight the policy’s value to their client. Add-on services mean that not only are employers able to offer employees core products, but a number of additional benefits that prove invaluable as well.”
He added that a policy offering this level of clinical expertise and support to all UK-based company employees, irrespective of their inclusion in a group IP policy, was a unique benefit of the proposition.
