PMI clients remains elusive despite need
Advisers find it hard to attract customers to private medical insurance, despite the pressing need for alternative healthcare solutions, James Davies has claimed.
The director of sales and marketing for provider Passport2Health said: “Advisers have been telling us how hard they find it to attract new customers to PMI.”
He said this feedback from advisers has helped the firm to make its offer more flexible, to enable more affordable access for more people to high quality care and treatment.
Mr Davies said: “We believe Passport2Health provides a great opportunity to help grow the PMI market and gives advisers a fresh but robust product to put in front of individuals and SMEs who may not have been in a financial position to consider or fund private healthcare previously.
“Advisers will find that it also appeals to larger corporates already committed to PMI and seeking alternative providers.”
Regarding the commission, he said Passport2Health does not disclose rates, but added that commissions are “comparable” with the current rates available from the major PMI providers in the UK.
