Sense Network announced today (4 July) that its member firms can become members of support provider Sifa Professional.

Previously, membership of Sifa Professional was only open to directly regulated firms but the firm has confirmed that, in its view, Sense meets the criteria of independent, fee based advice, Retail Distribution Review qualifications and a clean regulatory record.

Sense appointed representative firms will now be eligible to be included within the Law Society-endorsed directory of professional IFAs and will have access to the full range of Sifa services designed to assist in working with the legal profession.

Steve Young, commercial director at Sense, said: “Sense is committed to the ethos of independence.

“One of the biggest benefits to maintaining independent status is the ability for our members to engage with the legal profession as equals and to work with them to provide financial planning advice to their customers.

“We are delighted to be working with Sifa as they have long been regarded as the leaders in providing advice and services to financial advisers working with the legal profession.”

Dave Seager, development director for Sifa, said: “Sense clearly shares the professional ethos, based on independence and freedom from the influence of third parties when advising clients, and Sifa will be delighted to assist Sense members in developing their professional relationships.”
