Insight hires UBS’s Paul Lambert as head of currency

Insight Investment has hired Paul Lambert as head of currency to replace Dale Thomas who left at the end of May.

Mr Lambert will join the BNY Mellon subsidiary in September from UBS Global Asset Management where he was currency head.

He will also run the Dublin-domiciled £283m Absolute Insight Currency fund, alongside Max Wahl, who co-managed the vehicle alongside Mr Thomas and took over responsibility following his departure.

Adrian Grey, head of fixed income, Insight Investment, said: “Currency fund management is a core part of Insight’s fixed income and absolute return proposition.

“With over 20 years’ experience in currency markets Paul will bring not just leadership to our currency activities, but also add to our broader macro skill set.”
