Kent Reliance branches out across Canterbury

Kent Reliance has launched its latest branch in Canterbury city centre in response to customer feedback, new chief executive Andy Golding has said.

Last week, Mr Golding declared the branch open in the Whitefriars Shopping Centre, accompanied by branch manager Stuart Porro and some curious and curiouser characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Instead of saying ‘Off with their heads’ however, passers-by were encouraged to meet the characters and take part in a treasure hunt to find 30 Kent Reliance mugs hidden in the city.

Those who found them and brought them back to the branch were rewarded with a £25 deposit in a new One-year regular savings account. Alice and her friends also served more than 100 cups of tea and over 150 cakes to branch visitors, to the chagrin of the Mad Hatter.

Mr Porro said: “My team is dedicated to delivering an excellent level of customer service with a personal touch. We are looking forward to seeing new and existing customers in the branch over the coming weeks.”

Mr Golding added: “Our customers told us they wanted us in the heart of the city, providing competitive products and great customer service. We listened and believe our new branch demonstrates our commitment to the Kent community and our customers.”
