Andy Milburn to leave Ageas
Andy Milburn is to leave Ageas Protect in September after more than a year in the role, the firm has announced.
Darren Spriggs, managing director of Ageas, said Mr Milburn, who only joined in 2011 as head of marketing, would leave next month as his contract expires.
Mr Spriggs said Mr Milburn would be replaced by former Friends Life head of marketing and intermediary proposition development Steve Casey.
A statement from Ageas Protect said: “Mr Milburn, who was appointed as interim head of marketing for Ageas Protect in 2011, will be leaving the company as his contract comes to an end at the end of September.
“Mr Milburn joined Ageas at short notice to deliver the marketing strategy, while Ageas reviewed its marketing and proposition requirements.”
Initially, Mr Milburn’s appointment was on a six month basis.
Mr Spriggs said: “Mr Casey’s experience and proven ability of developing successful protection propositions will undoubtedly complement our strong team and continue to expand our presence across the protection market.”
Mr Casey said: “Mr Spriggs and the team at Ageas have proved to be an innovative and creative provider in the protection market and I look forward to helping craft the next stage of their evolution.”
Mr Milburn said: “I would like to thank everyone at Ageas for their support during my time there. Mr Casey is a really good choice to take the Ageas Protect marketing strategy forward and I wish both him and everyone at Ageas every success in the future.”
