Aberdeen announces RDR-ready share class

Aberdeen Asset Management to offer unbundled share classes across its UK and Luxembourg-domiciled fund ranges.

By Jenny Lowe | Published Aug 22, 2012 | comments

Aberdeen Asset Management is the latest group to announce its intention to offer unbundled share classes across its 32 UK-domiciled open-end funds and 69 Luxembourg-domiciled open-end funds.

According to the group, the flat annual management charge on an individual fund’s unbundled share class will exclude any commission payments or platform fee rebates.

John Brett, head of distribution at Aberdeen Asset Management, comments: “[The] RDR is a turning point for the UK funds industry and it is essential for asset managers to be prepared. We have consulted extensively with a wide range of distributors to ensure that Aberdeen is well placed to meet the needs of our clients in the post RDR world.”
