Kames Capital hires former LVAM US manager
Scottish boutique appoints Marcus Chandler in bid to boost US and overseas equities capability.
Marcus Chandler has joined Kames Capital as a senior portfolio manager of US equities.
Mr Chandler previously worked at LV= Asset Management (LVAM) where he covered UK and US equity markets until the business was outsourced to Threadneedle in November last year.
He will report to head of North American equities Ian Cooke.
Kames head of overseas equities Piers Hillier, who also joined Kames from Lvam in March, said: “Marcus’ hire is an important first step in demonstrating Kames Capital’s commitment to strengthen and rebuild our overseas equity capability.”
Mr Chandler has also previously worked at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Sarasin.
