Panel debate: Addressing the protection gap

There is little disagreement that the protection industry is in something of a rut, with sales declining and consumer engagement at an all-time low thanks to product confusion, low trust and a general tightening of personal finances.

Three senior figures in the industry made their way to the Financial Times to discuss these key issues and debate ways to reconnect with consumers. The participants were Andy Milburn, head of marketing at Ageas, Louise Colley, head of protection sales and marketing at Aviva and Sarah Fullaway, founder of advisory business Oviso Financial Services.
