Zurich unveils new-look microsite
Insurer says that incoming regulatory changes make it ideal time for advisers to work with clients to re-evaluate protection needs.
Zurich has unveiled its new-look microsite for advisers as part of the the insurer’s new ‘Releasing the Potential’ marketing campaign to support intermediaries in growing their protection businesses which it claims will help to reduce the UK’s protection gap.
The re-launched site from Zurich’s UK Life business offers a one-stop-shop for protection advisers providing them with everything they need to offer a comprehensive service to customers.
It includes interactive tools, sales tips, training materials and downloadable promotional literature covering business protection, relevant life, inheritance tax planning and family and mortgage protection.
The website also has a dedicated page on the EU gender directive which comes into play later this year, including an interactive Q&A, downloadable promotional material and letter templates for advisers to use with their clients
Phil Brown, head of protection and underwriting, says that by refreshing the website, Zurich is giving advisers the tools they need to make customers aware of the importance of having appropriate cover in place.
He said: “With regulatory changes afoot, now is an ideal time for advisers to be working with customers to re-evaluate their protection needs.
“The well documented protection gap means that around one in three adults in the UK has no life insurance in place and Zurich’s own recent research shows that people are more likely to insure their homes or cars than their lives. Yet typically when a loved one falls ill, it places the family finances under immense strain at a time when its least needed.”
