M&G appoints Russell as EM Bond fund deputy
Deputy manager of High Interest fund gets second retail mandate alongside Mike Riddell.
M&G Investments has appointed Matthew Russell as co-manager on the £23.9m M&G Emerging Markets Bond fund.
Mr Russell will run the fund alongside Mike Riddell, who has been lead manager since February 2010. He is currently deputy manager on Ben Lord’s £333.8m M&G High Interest fund.
The Emerging Markets Bond fund ranked in the top quartile of the IMA Global Bond sector over five years to September 28 with a 68.1 per cent return, compared with the sector’s average 54.7 per cent gain. It has also outperformed the sector over one and three years.
