Quilter boosts Edinburgh investment team
Wealth manager hires David Soutar to join its rapidly expanding investment management team
Wealth manager Quilter has bolstered its Edinburgh team with the hiring of David Soutar (pictured) as an investment manager.
Mr Soutar, who has 25 year’s experience in investment management, was most recently joint managing partner at Castlefield Investments where he managed both retail and institutional portfolios.
He joins other recent arrivals Alan Aitchison, Mark Hallam and Scott Peebles at the firm’s Edinburgh office, which was opened in January 2011.
Alan Aitchison, head of Quilter’s Edinburgh office, said: “Being able to add David to our team is a tremendous boost and his experience and expertise will be a considerable benefit to our clients.”
Mr Soutar’s addition boosts Quilter’s investment management expertise at a time when it is expected to announce the acquisition of fellow wealth manager Cheviot within weeks, which would increase its assets under management by £4bn to £12bn overall.
