However, Institute of Financial Planning chief executive Nick Cann has found some comic relief in the form of stand-up comedy.
Mr Cann, regularly seen on podiums discussing financial planning, is known to be developing a stand-up career as a sideline, and Insider hears he has made it to the bootcamp stage of a BBC Comic Relief show.
He tweeted: “Down to the draw from a hat as to whether I make the live show.”
