Hosted by Philippa Gee of Philippa Gee Wealth Management, the event saw more than 20 awards made to advisers and providers at the exclusive Sartoria restaurant in Savile Row.
It was a double win for Paul Richardson of Concept Financial Planning with the overall life and pensions and the individual Sipp/pensions awards of the year. Mr Richardson, who impressed judges with his outstanding professional and well-thought out client proposition along with his approach to the use of Sipp in the planning process, praised his team’s hard work.
Carl Lamb of Almary Green walked away with the group pension adviser gong, while Sarah Fullaway of Oviso won the protection adviser of the year for the second year running, impressing judges with her knowledge of, and commitment to, the protection market.
Worcester-based McCarthy Taylor picked up the gong for small life and pensions adviser firm award, while the newly-qualified adviser of the year award went to Jonathan Halsall of Lift Financial, with judges commenting that if he was representative of newly-qualified advisers, the future is in safe hands.
Among providers, Aviva dominated the pack, picking up the life assurance, critical illness, term assurance, conventional annuity, and protection and pensions provider of the year awards.
LV won the income protection provider, BUPA picked up the health insurance award, Standard Life won the income drawdown and Sipp provider awards, and Scottish Widows picked up the individual pension and group pension provider awards.
