French fund giant Carmignac Gestion has listed 10 funds on the Ascentric platform as it continues its push into the UK market.
The funds, which all have hedged sterling share classes, are already available on Axa Elevate and Novia, and include company founder Edouard Carmignac’s €7.2bn (£6.1bn) Investissement fund.
Three of the funds, including the Investissement fund, are structured as FCP funds, a type of fund unique to France. Some commentators have said this could prove a barrier to entry for Carmignac Gestion in the UK as some platforms may be unwilling to adapt their systems to cope with the structure.
But Eric Helderlé, managing director at Carmignac Gestion, said the group had seen “significant demand” for its “high conviction investment appraoch” since opening its London office in April last year.
