Threadneedle Investments has launched a multi-asset fund for head of multi-asset allocation Toby Nangle.

The Threadneedle Dynamic Real Return fund, launched today, invests in equities, bonds, commodities, property, cash and other asset classes.

It sits in the IMA Targeted Absolute Return sector and aims to achieve a positive return “over a maximum period of three years”, the company said. The fund also targets “equity-like returns” on a 3-5 year basis, with two thirds of the volatility of equities.

Mr Nangle said: “As the future of the global economy remains uncertain, and unconventional measures are being used to manage liquidity, active multi-asset products can offer investors a more effective way to balance risk and return than traditional equity and bond funds.”

The fund is available on platforms with an annual management charge of 0.75 per cent.
