Ruth Keattch will become Artemis’s full time chief investment officer in October after stepping down from her role as co-manager on the £1.3bn Artemis UK Special Situations fund.

Ms Keattch joined Artemis in December 2008 from Troy Asset Management and had been co-managing the UK Special Situations fund with lead manager Derek Stuart and serving as chief investment officer (CIO) on a part-time basis.

A spokesperson for Artemis said Ms Keattch had agreed to take on the role of CIO full time from next month to deal with the increasingly demanding regulatory environment, issues of corporate governance and to oversee several committees.

Andy Gray will take over as co-manager on the fund, having assisted Mr Stuart and Ms Keattch for the past two years.

Mr Gray joined Artemis in July 2006 and previously managed the Artemis New Enterprises fund, which was rolled into the UK Special Situations fund, and will continue to manage the Artemis VCT.
