Russell Investments has hired Rob Hall from Schroders to work in its multi-asset team.

Mr Hall previously worked for Russell for 20 years until 2008 when he moved to Schroders to lead manager selection for its multi-manager funds.

The three Schroders multi-manager funds are to be run by Iain Cunningham, who has been co-manager alongside Mr Hall since February 2011.

A spokesperson for Schroders said the funds were still separate from the Cazenove multi-manager range, run by Marcus Brookes, in spite of Schroders’ acquisition of Cazenove earlier this year.

Christophe Caspar, chief investment officer for multi asset strategies at Russell Investments, said: “We are pleased to welcome Rob back to Russell and to our multi asset team. His appointment brings increased depth to our multi-asset capabilities and his skills are a strong complement to our existing multi asset group.”
