JPMAM hires BoAML’s Davidson for global fund role

JPMorgan Asset Management has hired James Davidson as co-manager on three of its global equity funds.

Mr Davidson, who oversaw the global equity sales desk at Bankl fo America Merrill Lynch, will be co-manager on the Global Equity Income strategy, including the UK-domiciled Global Equity Income fund and Luxembourg-domiciled JPMF Global Dividend fund.

He will join senior portfolio manager Gerd Woort-Menker, who remains lead fund manager.

Mr Davidson will be based in London and “will enhance the fund’s team-based income investment process”, working with the global research teams which generate stock insights.

Prio to his role at BoAML, Mr Davidson spent five years as a US equity portfolio manager with Morgan Grenfell Asset Management. He began his career in Edinburgh on the US equities desk at Baillie Gifford.
