Prudential UK has struck an agreement to use systems supplier Iress’s advice platform XPlan for its recently relaunched Prudential Financial Planning advice arm.

Expected to roll out to PFP’s 300-plus advisers and back office users from March 2014, the XPlan advice platform will support and operate PFP sales and administration processes. According to a statement from Iress, use of XPlan will allow PFP to offer more cost-effective mass market advice.

Last year (13 March), PFP revealed it was looking to expand by 71 advisers to a total of 200 by the end of last year, after growing to 129 advisers at the end of 2012.

Chris Haines, director of Prudential Financial Planning, said: “This technology partnership and the implementation of XPlan represents a key milestone in further improving our operational effectiveness.

“From the outset, Iress has demonstrated a thorough understanding of our requirements. The resulting proposition will help enhance our operational efficiency and increase our flexibility as we look to achieve our plans for business growth in the coming years.”
