The board of the F&C US Smaller Companies investment trust is to rename the trust following its transfer to Jupiter.
Manager Robert Siddles, who has run the trust since 2001, moved to Jupiter in January and the trust has followed him to his new employer.
The board is proposing to change the trust’s name to Jupiter US Smaller Companies and will put the proposal to shareholders on at a meeting on April 8.
The £161.7m trust’s shares have risen 212.6 per cent in the five years since the bottom of the market in March 2009, while the value of its portfolio has risen 185.4 per cent.
The trust is the sixth in Jupiter’s closed-ended range, which includes trusts run by European equities star manager Alexander Darwall and head of fixed interest and multi-asset Miles Geldard.
