Close Brothers brings in five analysts for research team

Close Brothers Asset Management has brought in five analysts to boost its equity research team.

The discretionary manager has made the hires to further strengthen the research team headed by recent hire Robert Alster, who joined from Alliance Bernstein in January.

Roohi Siddiqui and Lorraine Grace have joined Close Brothers to work on analysing consumer stocks.

Ms Siddiqui had previously worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Schroder Investment Management and Lehman Brothers.

Dominic Carver will cover financial and healthcare stocks, having joined from Julius Baer, while Charles Coldicott will work on the telecoms, media and technology sectors.

Mike Field, who was previously an investment manager at Close Brothers, has been shifted to the research team to cover energy, material and utility stocks.
