Insurers struggle to access critical data

The information management provider interviewed 153 senior insurance executives and intermediaries, and found 81 per cent blamed poor information technology infrastructure and legacy systems for insurers struggling to access data effectively.

A quarter of respondents said the quality of information held by insurance companies was either poor or very poor, while only one in three said insurers had coped well with the raft of new legislation in recent years.
