The British may be known for indulgence of their pets so it seems only natural that these days they should create a social networking account for them.

About 7 per cent of pet owners have a social media account for their pets, according to GoCompare.com, and they are posting on their pets behalf.

The most influential social media pet worldwide is Sockington the cat, who belongs to US archivist and historian Jason Scott. Perhaps “tweeting” is nearer the truth than we thought.
