More than one in ten people think their house is haunted, according to a survey.

Ocean Finance, the mortgage broker, said that 15 per cent of people believe there is a ghost in their property, with Londoners claiming to have the most haunted homes.

Of those that believe their house is haunted nearly half can feel a “strange presence” in their property, and nearly a third (29 per cent) have experienced strange chills.

The finds do not seem to have had much impact on London’s property market, however.
