Jaime Ramos-Martin has quit Standard Life Investments, becoming the second European equity manager to leave the firm this year.

Mr Ramos-Martin had been with SLI since 2005 and had managed the £69.7m Standard Life Investments European Equity Growth fund since 2007.

He has been replaced as lead manager on the fund by former deputy manager Kay Eyre, with head of European equities Stan Pearson taking on the role of deputy manager.

Mr Eyre, who has been with SLI for the past 18 years, will also be supported by the nine-strong European equities team at SLI, the company said.

Mr Ramos-Martin’s resignation comes soon after Ken Nicholson, manager of the Standard Life Investments European Smaller Companies Sicav, also resigned from the firm.
