Zurich’s head of retail wealth propositions said the platform was now accessible through Apple, Android or Windows operating systems on iPads, iPad minis, Galaxy Notes and the Nexus.
He said: “We are committed to offering technology solutions that meet the demands of today’s customers – it is no longer just about what they can get, but how, when and where they get it.”
Kevin Ronaldson, chief executive of Bellpenny, said: “The pace of technological change in the wealth management industry has never been greater and the impetus for this is coming from the end customer.”
Research from UKOM/comScore showed that tablet ownership grew 63 per cent in 2013, while separate research from eMarketer found one in three UK consumers regularly use a tablet device. By 2017 this figure is expected to grow to one in two.
