FTAdviser Online Service Awards winners revealed

Aviva scooped the top prize at last night’s FTAdviser Online Service Awards after close to 1,000 of you rated the provider among the top in the industry for investment, mortgages, life and pensions.

Rival Prudential picked up an outstanding achievement award at the prize giving in London last night (26 June) while Skandia, which was FTAdviser’s 2013 Company of the Year, received a consistent service excellence award.

Prudential scooped its prize after turning four stars at last year’s FTAdviser Online Service Awards in both the investments and life and pensions categories into a five-star sweep this time around.

Ageas was named the most improved life and pensions provider, Schroders saw the biggest leap in plaudits in the investment provider category for online service and Platform won the most improved mortgage provider title.

Providers were rated for the overall functionality and design of their technology, plus how well they process business.

More than 1,000 advisers polled by FTAdviser also gave their verdicts on provider’s online product literature and tools and the quality of support services.

Transact, Henderson Global Investors, Quilter Cheviot, Close Brothers, Nucleus, Aviva Investors, F&C, 7IM, Schroders, Skandia and Prudential were the investment houses and platforms that scooped five star awards.

Hodge Lifetime, Platform, LV, Virgin Money, Paragon, Halifax, Aviva and Nationwide Building Society came out as the industry’s top mortgage lenders and equity release providers.

Scottish Life, Ageas, Skandia, Exeter Family Friendly, Just Retirement, Prudential, MetLife Europe, Aviva and Axa Wealth were deemed the best life and pension providers by advisers.
